本案是毕业后主持设计的第一个大型综合项目。友谊宾馆是亚洲最大的园林式四星级酒店，占地面积33万5千平方米，改造工程包括友谊宫、迎宾楼、敬宾楼、怡宾楼、瑞宾楼、康体中心、颐园、乡园、苏园、雅园等，其中友谊宫建筑面积14000平方米，包括中庭、风格餐厅、宴会厅、多功能厅、会议厅、娱乐城等，历时三年。
当时大陆的整个室内设计界都受香港豪华装修的影响，本设计体现了在当时的历史条件下，
为了有所突破和创新，在每个区域空间和细节上所做出的努力。

Friendship Hotel
reconstruction project, Haidian District Beijing
This is the first big comprehensive project I hosted after my graduation. Friendship hotel is the biggest four-star garden hotel in Asia, covering a surface of 335,000 square meters. The reconstruction project includes Friendship palace, Yingbin building, Jingbin building, Yibin building, Ruibin building, health center, Yiyuan garden, Xiangyuan garden, Suyuan garden and Yayuan garden; Friendship palace covers a constructional surface of 14,000 square meters, including courtyard, style restaurant, banquet hall, multi-functional hall, conference hall and entertaining hall; it took three years to complete the project.
At that time, the entire interior design field in mainland was affected by the luxurious style from Hong Kong. Under such historic conditions, in order to have some breakthrough and innovation, much effort was made on all the spaces and details.
